We stopped on the off chance after seeing a billboard out on the main road. What an absolute gem of a find. We both chose lobster mac and cheese, it came with garlic bread and salad, it was delicious and freshly cooked. The whole lunch menu was great and all meals were affordably priced. Service was friendly and we were made to feel welcome. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area, it opend at 12 noon, we're unsure what time they close, but worth checking out.

Food was fantastic. Beautiful views from the large panoramic windows. Staff were nice and polite. The restaurant is well decorated, comfortable and airy. We used the car park for overnight stop in our Camper (free of charge).

We ate lunch outside on a glorious, sunny day as we had a dog with us. The menu is extensive. There was a lamb and veg soup on offer, but my wife had Cullen Skink (smoked haddock and potato soup) and then a venison burger - made with local estate wild deer. She raved over both dishes. I had six, local oysters - they were large and delicious - the chef is great at shucking. The beer was keg but still excellent and not over chilled. This is a superb eating place. The chef comes out to tell you about the specials and is very friendly. We were just passing but will definitely return for a full dinner. All the staff are pleasant. The people on the next table all had langoustines and they looked superb. Do visit if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed!

Courteous staff and good spacing of tables. Clean and friendly. Plenty of parking space and easily accessible tables inside and out. We had the tapas main as a starter between 4 which was great. Good for the smoked chicken, warm bread and cucumber chutney alone. The portion sizes were excellent and the fish and chips main was up there with the best we've had. Lunch for 4 with drinks and coffees was less than £100, so about average for the area. Fabulous views from all areas of the restaurant. We'll be back, that's for sure.

(For the restaurant, not the hotel) Easily one of the best experiences at a restaurant in a long time. The food was absolutely amazing. Being from the US, it was a very welcome experience compared to our visits in other non-tourist centered locations (we try to avoid those). Me and my wife were awestruck by how kind and hospitable the staff and patrons were, and the food was beyond delicious. We just couldn't stop eating even when we said we were full. We can't recommend this enough and the views of the sea and mountains are amazing, just to top off the whole experience.
